AEK Athens crowned European Basketball Champions League champions after beating Monaco 100-94.

Half a century after their epic Cup winners’ Cup title in Athens, AEK Athens are celebrating the 3rd European basketball title following the defeat of AS Monaco (100-94) in the 2017-18 Champions League final at OAKA stadium in Athens. The Greek club had won their last Eurpean trophy 18 years ago when they lifted the Saporta Cup.

AEK have brought home the Greek Basketball Cup since 2001 with a narrow two-point win over Olympiakos side in Iraklio.

Manny Harris was instrumental for the Queen, helping to clinch a 88-83 victory for AEK in a year which also marks the 50th anniversary of the Greek side’s 1968 European Cup Winners’ Cup exploits.
